How much more time does he have until the aches turn to paralysis? till his dry skin starts to rot, and his weakening body decays?
Until all that's left is a monster.
He just needs Edward safe before he dies.

“Well, it’s definitely skycity tech,” he says, once he identifies the components deeper within. He wipes away some of the gunk caked to it with his gloved knuckle—probably some coolant from a burst line mixing with the dirt. It has a rust-colored tinge. “It has to be from Castal. I know I’ve found some human-shaped robots before. None that look like this though. The ones I found were like… They looked like fake people. They had rubbery faces made to look like a human’s, and they were wearing human clothes, or costumes—really creepy stuff.”
Arthur twists the robot's "arm" side to side, looking at the hand’s rigid fingers and floppy wrist joint. “Why would you want to make a robot that looks like a human?”
