While the story follows the broad framework of Fallout 4’s core plot and Sim Settlements 2, it branches in ways meant to feel more personal, more alive, and more original. This is the Fallout 4 I love—told differently, shaped by the version of the story I’ve carried in my head through countless playthroughs.
At its center is Tess Vanderbilt, my Sole Survivor. Taking the place of Nora, she enters the wasteland with a twist to her past that reshapes how she faces the world, the people she meets, and the future she helps build.

Summary
Between her military service and her complex family life, Elle Douglas found herself almost uniquely qualified to survive in The Commonwealth’s wasteland - at least as far as Vault 111 residents went. Summary
I was reading a fic that handles the Shaun relationship in a very interesting way and I thought, "God, imagine someone with my hyperspecific parental trauma being thrown into that situation." Then I remembered saying just like two days ago that Fallout 4 was a great vehicle for self-insert fic and thought, "Ha! Imagine if I actually wrote that! I could even fix the ending!"
Sixty thousand words later, it's a stream-of-consciousness mess, but it's certainly fun to write.

Casey Shipley, or Case to every other fucker in the Wasteland, just wanted to go back home for some peace and quiet. Peace and quiet wasn't in the cards. The second time around she thought peace and quiet would be easier to come by, considering she's an escaped slave who can't talk anymore, and everyone who knew her from before is dead. But one rolling yapper of a ghoul doesn't know the meaning of the words. He wasn't in the mood for silence the first time around, and he sure as shit isn't now.
