There were also 8 tabs sticking out of the top of the book in the order of red, yellow, lavender, mahogany, purple, blue, green, and white. This was his way of keeping his captors assorted so to speak.
After all, with 8 stubborn teenagers trapped in a magical book, anything could happen.
