After being called to King of Spades' throne room at the most inconvenient time, he is assigned to take care of his son. Despite having no experience with children, he complies to avoid losing his job... or rather, jobs. Even with his limited knowledge of children, he begins to understand that a lot of what the King does is wrong.
Yet, through his time with Lancer, he notices something off about the child. He doesn't share the same spark that many other children do. He notices when his words go unnoticed; when someone doesn't want him there; gets excited when he's given the chance to learn something new; he's eager to help, even with work that would seem boring if it means spending time with someone. Something is going on with the kid, but he can't quite place his finger on it. The child has also helped resurface some memories, forcing Rouxls Kaard to confront them once more.
Now, the kid is put in the position of King. Considering he is only ten years old, he needs a lot of help with tasks, and luckily for him, Rouxls is there to help. He teaches Lancer all he knows when it comes to law and running a kingdom, which isn't a lot, but its better then nothing.

Something is off.
That’s how Yoshiki has been feeling for this entire day, and now he knows the reason why.
In front of him, the boy with frosted hair is holding his persistent gaze towards the other one, two red glowing dots from his eyes that are even more evident in the dim light of the room they are in. The pupils widen even more when they meet Yoshiki’s. The piercing gaze makes Yoshiki feel like knives cutting his soul in millions of pieces.
When he tries to breathe, every part of his lungs burn, as if they are too scared to even function, any sound that could be made feeling like a threat for the sacred silence that controls the studio.
But, despite this obvious threat, why is his heart beating so fast for a different emotion than fear?
The shorter one starts to grin mischievously, flashing his right snaggle tooth in the process.
With a low tone, ‘Hikaru’ starts to speak, slowly starting to head towards the other one.
“I guess we finally meet again, Yoshiki.”
or: Yoshiki comes from an extremely religious family and his life is a mess when 'Hikaru' appears again after disappearing without a trace for more than three years.

Isagi’s bottom lip quiver, still sniffling as fresh hot tears streamed down his face— the feeling searing atop his cooled skin. His nose was red and irritated from all the snot he had wiped away, his eyes puffy and swollen from the crying he had been doing. He was dizzy, lightheaded from exhaustion as he stumbled his way to the zebra crossing.
He waited there, watching the traffic light before it glowed a green. Isagi let out a sigh as he mentally chided himself for being so weak.
So consumed by his thoughts he hadn’t noticed the truck racing towards him,
Only noticing when the truck was too close for him to dodge anymore. Turning his head to face the two blinding lights of the large vehicle before a gasp was ripped out of his lungs— his legs stilling momentarily.

BOOM!

The priest turned around, clearly not agreeing and wanting to protest. But no one could argue with the Honoured One.
Tighnari looked at the priest curiously. He had seen this one before. A diligent priest, with a striking look. White hair, red eyes. A tan, too. Was Tighnari supposed to know his name? Maybe Kaveh knew. He placed a gentle hand on the priest's arm.
“Thank you.”
The priest seemed a little lost for words from the touch and clear gratitude of the Honoured One. He then bowed deeply.
