Summary
Lottie is fearless, wealthy, and obsessed with the hidden—demons, cryptids, and the strange forces that lurk just beyond the edges of the world. Nat is guarded, sharp, and haunted by a past that has taught her survival comes at a cost. When Lottie invites Nat on a roadtrip across the American West, it’s meant to prove the impossible—but the journey becomes something far more dangerous, and far more intimate. In the deserts, motels, and abandoned roads they traverse, the ordinary bleeds into the uncanny: symbols appear in the dark, shadows seem to watch, and moments of beauty and terror are inseparable. As fear and fascination entwine, so do their lives, drawing them together in ways neither fully understands. In this tale of secrets, obsession, and fragile trust, love and the supernatural collide, and the boundaries between desire, protection, and the unknown are blurred under the vast, haunting sky of the West.

Summary
It’s pretty evident that Lottie isn’t as into you as much as you are into her. That’s how she’s always been. Apathetic and self-centered. She doesn’t take you seriously.
Recently, Misty has been telling you that what you have with Lottie isn’t healthy.
Which is something you’re well aware of. I mean, isn’t that the point? Getting to be pushed around and let down is easier. So much easier than having someone who actually wants you… that was the point at least. Lottie’s ways are getting distasteful, repetitive and she can barely keep her act up anymore. So you decide to do something about it, when frustrated and hurt.

Summary
The lights are bright and a pure, dazzling white; Jackie’s voice drips honey; the beat thumps on, light drum hits and hi-hats; her midriff is smooth and visible above the belt loops of her low-waisted blue jeans; the young girls in the crowd squeal as she sways innocently in front of them; and Shauna is one bass strum away from snapping.
But in Nat’s darkened pupils, recognition lingers, long, defiant and impossibly persistent:
“I know that’s not the kind of music you want to make.”Or:
It’s 2005, and Honey Atomic are going through a bit of a sophomore slump. Golden girls who charmed the world with innocence and bubblegum are waning in a market that wants edge.
And worse have it, their bassist Shauna is seriously crashing out, harboring secrets and resentment from her childhood best friend, and the band’s lead singer, Jackie, and drummer Taissa, and masses of fans who suddenly seem like they would really care to know.
That’s until she meets Nat, lead singer and guitarist of a new feminist punk band that makes every manager in the pop world cry.
Nat doesn’t pretend she’s not crashing out. And Shauna can't stop looking at her.

Summary
A week after returning from their Nationals tournament, the yellowjackets are trapped at school when a mysterious lockdown is issued across the state of New Jersey. After days of growing anxious in the school with no answers, a small group decides to break their lockdown to go and search for a missing teammate.
But when a crowd of cannibalistic strangers suddenly attacks the school, they are forced instead to fight for their lives, their school, and each other. But the initial outbreak is only the beginning.
Those unfortunate enough to survive quickly learn the horrors have barely begun. As the world burns down around them, they will have to work together to survive a relentless onslaught of the living dead.
And when it becomes clear that the fight will never end, they have to start creating their own rules to adapt to their new harsh environment while trying to build a better world than they lost. But the echoes of the lost world may prove too powerful to overcome, and the monsters populating the new world are hungry.
Invasive Species blends action and horror to create suspenseful setpieces in a story about the costs of survival, and the moments in between that make life worth living.

Summary
“I, uh..I used to sneak downstairs after everybody had gone to bed and watch the Color of Night so I could pause it on Bruce Willis’s wang.” Jackie said.
The words tumbled out too fast, like she was afraid silence might swallow her if she hesitated. For half a second after she spoke, she wondered if she’d gone too far. She could already feel the familiar tightening in her chest, the fear of miscalculation, of choosing the wrong version of herself. Funny Jackie. Cool Jackie. Normal Jackie. The one who knew what she was supposed to want.
“That is definitely why we crashed.” Van added.
Relief hit first, warm and dizzying. Jackie let herself smile wider, leaning into it.
“I mean. Jeff’s not bad, but damn. Right?” She asked the girls as laughter grew louder.
She watched their reactions closely, always watching. The way laughter rippled through the group felt like oxygen, like proof she still belonged here. That she could still make them laugh, still be the girl people wanted around. Humor had always been her safest currency. Say the thing first, control the tone, don’t let anyone look too closely.
