The reality of the situation, the gravity of the situation, hits her with cold and bracing clarity, like a bucket of ice water. “I’m sorry. It was wrong. I know it was wrong. “How good of you to offer.” Victoria has no idea what she could possibly be prepared to offer, but as it turns out she need not worry about it. There is something knowing and all too mischievous sparkling in Trinity’s eyes. “You can, and I know exactly how.”
