Post Infinity castle war. The Demon Slayer Mark is cured due to Muzan's existence being wiped out. Marks appeared right after Muzan's demonification in the Heian period. This was known by the Sengoku period and by Tamayo's research. I hc that the marks were a part of divine retribution against Muzan. So was Yoriichi. So once Muzan was gone, the mark's curse was also lifted. The mark is burned away after Muzan dies. Here, Michikatsu joins Muzan just because of his overwhelming jealousy.
Those left alive: Kamaboko squad (including Genya), Sanemi, Giyuu, Muichiro, Goto, Murata, and all the butterfly girls.
Who dies: Gyomei 🥲 (his sacrifice saves Genya and Mui), Obamitsu 🥲.
I belong to "I hate Koku" squad because, despite canon nuance, I am petty, and that mfr killed my babies Mui and Genya, so honestly, no sympathy. Team anti-Douma too.
Kanae was saved by Sanemi, Uzui, and Gyomei during her first battle with Douma.
Referred to Sanemi and Kanae as the Wind and Flower in their third-person chapters for a poetic flair. It's my first work, so constructive feedback is welcome.
