Short version: A different year five at Hogwarts in an alternate universe where all of the other books leading up to this one were slightly different.
Long version: This is basically me changing a lot of stuff about how Hogwarts and the wizarding world works, then writing a story about how Harry managed to defeat Voldemort at the end of the Triwizard Tournament with the help of a man he knew next to nothing about named Regulus Black.
The story begins, as per usual, on Harry's birthday, as Harry is presented with the realization that his next year at Hogwarts will be very different this time. He is forced to think about what will he actually do now that his supposed "destiny" to face the Dark Lord had already came and went.
Disclaimer: I wrote this for a friend, and I'm definitely not as well versed on the HP universe as she is, so I'll do my best here, but I'm out of my comfort zone, so be warned.
