That is perhaps the difference between Russian hockey and North American hockey. Ilya doesn't get to blame the other team, he has to always look inwards at his mistakes and because he is captain— his team's mistakes too. If someone is injured, Ilya has to know how to accommodate them. If someone's wife argued with them over the phone before the match, Ilya has to take that into account.
