Oh, this was easy.
The center went to do a backhand shot, but he didn’t bite. When the Montreal center saw he didn’t fall for it, his face paled, but it was too late to stop; Montreal shot the puck, and he grabbed it without trouble. He chuckled, made a thumb-down sign, and blew a raspberry. The Montreal player muttered something about him being an asshole and skated away.
Only Montreal could be so idiotic as to try a Rozanov in the Ottawa arena. Insulting. He is the best fucking goalie in the league since Hayes retired. He is done with Montreal; they are not scoring. Decision made.OR
I got so pissed at the new rule about transgender athletes that USA hockey pulled out of their asses, that I made a full fanfic in the current "future" season 2025/2026 about the new goalie for the centaurs after Hazy's retirement, the NHL, and the son of the centaur's owner.

Just then, the plane dipped, dropping a few meters before leveling out again. Everyone laughed as Bood fell to the floor. He had been in the aisle again, talking with Dykstra and Couinard a few rows down. Ilya and Hayes exchanged worried glances.
A deafening bang ricocheted around them as the plane trembled violently, sending things clattering to the ground. Ilya barely had time to grab ahold of his armrests before the plane fucking dropped.

The second Shane hit the ice, Ilya knew something was wrong. Bood didn’t mean to hit him, it was a clean play and an even cleaner hit. A regular hockey hit. But the way Shane landed and slid into the boards, seeing the blood but not knowing where it was coming from, had Ilya’s heart stopping. Even now, almost three hours later, it didn’t feel like his heart had started again. He could hear Bood in the bed next to him asking him something, but all he could do was refresh the tab ‘shane hollander injury update’ and hope some news article somehow leaked information. He knew he didn’t actually want that to happen because Shane deserved privacy, but he was dying inside not knowing if his boyfriend was okay.

All Shane knew was he was in pain, the medication wasn’t masking it, and he needed Ilya. His parents were both in the room, as was Hayden, doing their best to figure out how to get ‘ily to the hospital.

It's just him and his skates. But the hard fought peace is fragile, like cracks in too thin ice. It only takes a slight impact to shatter. Shane is fighting to hold his team and himself together as everything comes crashing down around him.
Someone hacks into Rose Landry's phone in a club, they then release the images of Shane's texts online and all hell breaks loose. Shane is left to pick up the pieces. Ilya makes some choices in the aftermath that change everything where as Shane decides to stop hiding and Ilya is a possessive asshole who makes it everyone else's problem. With far less reason to hide himself anymore, Shane begins to show more of who he really is behind the polite, media worthy façade. Maybe he can have both Hockey and Ilya. The world will just have to deal with it.
