Sure, he loved getting up in his opposition's face and that had meant taking some serious hits over the years, but he hated being taken off the ice for stupid injuries. Injuries meant getting benched and doing tedious, repetitive exercises until the team doctor decided he was healed enough to rejoin the team. They meant his husband was more neurotic than usual, trying to tend to his every need (Ilya didn’t hate that part, but he did hate that it ruined their sex life). They also meant he couldn’t chase Anya around the yard and hold her like a baby. And that wasn’t even the worst part.
