This will be a collection of ficlets, each one centered on a single episode of Season 2, mostly canon compliant, sometimes filling in missing scenes or what happens after the episode fades out. Mulder had kneeled in the dirt with a gun at the back of his head. How was he supposed to move on from that? And what was going to happen when he told Scully?
An hour of TV is never long enough to give us everything that a story has to offer, so this is a little post-ep continuation exploring the aftermath of an episode that I think gives us a great opportunity for character development, but leaves it all hanging in the air at the end.
It’s canon-compliant … in a world where Mulder and Scully might actually communicate. So much is left unsaid between these two so I’ve tried to give a window into what they’re thinking. I think it’s pretty true to character, I hope you do too.

Mulder and Scully realise that they're final exchange with each other for the weekend didn't go down very well and they both know they're just frustrated within their environment and lashing out at each other isn't the way to fix that. Mulder visits Scully with an apology and Scully makes some of her own.
