Bucky had to wonder how much more willing Sam would be towards an olive branch with the two if he hadn't just got done pissing the man off. If he didn't continuously voice his own aggravations towards Walker and Sam's decision on handing over that shield.
But he also didn't really care.
He takes steps backwards as Sam turns to leave, eyeing Walker again to catch some twist of disappointment and irritation. Though those blues lock with his own again, stopping whatever comment the blonde was about to say.
Bucky narrows his own, challenging him to say more, before that look twists to something darker and somehow more irritated.
"Wait," John says, "Just— Hold on for a minute."
Buck didn't have to break the glare to know Sam stops, or to fully catch the look that Lemar gives his partner. None say a word, waiting to hear what Walker decides on trying.

Summary
The Hadal Blacksite. A laboratory, containment facility, and Selene Meyers’s personal Hell for the last few years. After her insubordination to Urbanshade, they’d taken her humanity from her, and over time Selene grew accustomed to the tests and jobs they’d used her for. She had given up hope to see the sun again, until a breach flipped it all on its head.
Every guard, every scientist, all of them had abandoned the site and the experiments that still lived there. Selene had been handed a chance to escape, and working with fellow experiment Sebastian Solace, she planned to leave the site behind once and for all.
Whilst they worked together, she refused to let anyone close and that included him. But after an injury gets her to lower her defenses, they find out they have much more in common than either of them want to admit.
This is a personal fic about my OC Selene and explores her story and dynamic with Sebastian, as well as a second minor OC because I am coping hard and writing fanfiction is a good outlet. This isn’t what I usually write and I’ve never written smut before, but I’ll try my best and hopefully it’s good.
