Shane Hollander has lived most of his life in a small provincial town, seen as "odd" for not starting a family by his age, and for his "obsession" with books, learning, and crafting inventions with his father, David. He yearns for a different life, with someone, anyone, who understand he wants more than what's a "normal" life.
Things change when Shane travels with his mother, Yuna, to deliver their father's inventions at the capital, and they get lost at Castle Rozanov, cursed in an eternal winter. When they are arrested for trespassing, Shane offers to take the burden of his mother's crime, letting her free as he takes a lifetime of imprisonment by the Beast King Ilya.
Inspired by Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" 1991, as well as mix of other similar media, this is my personal take on the story, with a few twists and turns along the way.
