Much to her surprise, Mirabel Madrigal's life didn't get any simpler when she left Encanto nearly seven years ago, when her Abuela gave her the scar on her cheek. For nearly a year she traveled until a heinous man at a bar in Italy set his sights on her, leaving her with four of his children. Luckily, this brought her to his siblings, Maria and Cosimo Moretti, who have become her 'chosen family.' However, a nomadic lifestyle is not kind to a makeshift family of seven, and keeping her children fed and cared for means that Mirabel, Maria, and Cosimo are used to going without. During particularly rough times, Maria and Cosimo are worried, they're flat broke, and Mirabel is stressed and losing weight quickly trying to keep everyone taken care of, making nursing her youngest increasingly difficult. So, they do the only thing they can think of. They set their course for Encanto, the small hidden town in Columbia Mirabel told them she came from, as a last resort. But as feelings between Mirabel and Maria surface, Mirabel attempts to navigate reconnecting with her family, and old wounds are re-opened, Mirabel is faced with a difficult question: is Encanto still her home?

¿Por donde se debe empezar a escribir, o mejor dicho continuar una historia?, ¿Por donde se debe no solo retomar, sino continuar con el hilo de aquello que un día se contó en una película y ahora se pretende contar en una pequeña serie de varios capítulos?, el objetivo es darle una continuación a esta historia, tratando de reflejar una Colombia de los 1950 en adelante; en la misma se incluyen criaturas mágicas y mitológicas, que dicho sea de paso, no son solo duendes y hadas, sino criaturas fantásticas como son la Madremonte, el Mohán (nada que ver con Moana, realmente existe este personaje en el folclor mitológico colombiano, y tendrá su participación en esta historia), el Tunjo, La Tunda, en fin, criaturas que enriquecen nuestro folclor nacional. Obviamente, la idea también es lograr que los dones de los Madrigal vayan creciendo y desarrollándose, al igual que lo hacen sus portadores. Será una serie de héroes y villanos, que capítulo a capítulo promete ser entretenida.

A 15 year-old girl who lives a shallow, and dark life, and a boy who lives in a kaleidoscopic and intoxicating delight met; slowly, they unraveled things beyond those measured smiles and empty stares.
The 'wealthy' family had sternly decided to leave the Philippines and move to Colombia. The family's matriarch, whom the Madrigal's matriarch's acquaintance, will finally meet again after a long period of time.
This story is a magical realism that takes place in the early 1950s.
