Inspired after watching a video more about the last Fifth Doctor serial, Tintin becomes lethally poisoned during an escape on the Karaboudjan from where he was brought to after being kidnapped. Events of the film transpire almost as usual as the effects quickly sink in, and Sakharine's realisation at this revolving around the knowledge and possession of the scrolls only just makes it easier to use the simple incident to his advantage. Of course, simultaneously, the scrolls aren't the only thing on his mind, and he cannot wait to inflict this torture on the boy that has tried to ruin his legacy and his business in order to get what he believes he truly wants and deserves: him. And him alone.
