On an exoplanet far, far away from the once blue world, a group of drones found themselves running out of the precious black liquid, vital for some of them.

On the frozen post-apocalyptic world of Copper 9, just months before Uzi's teenage rebellion (later spirals into saving reality), two exasperated done-with-everything worker drones Roman and Zane defect from the blast door-obsessed Outpost 3 and cross paths with Jimmy, a weird drone, Ortus, who was modded for speed, Terra, another drone modded for durability, and later on Elias and Reginald, obsolete but powerful Starscourge II Units from a forgotten mission under a private military organization. Together by the shared motive of finding a new life, they form an unlikely alliance, establishing a stronghold in the far wastes and rallying scattered survivors into a duct-taped militia living in a half-collapsed cathedral fortress with artillery dreams and a suitcase full of emotion.
But opposing them? Just your usual genocide squad of ego-sensitive vampiric murder drones, a nihilist cult with scrap tanks and helicopters screaming "PLEASE KILL US," and the faint background hum of a "teehee I'm silly" demonic virus' to-do list. But there has not been a fic I have read that has made me feel so emotional, so invested, just to be cut off near the end. So, I'll try my hardest to hold that torch. And I won't be able to make something as good.

She watched the drone walk past her hiding spot in the ceiling. The drone was heading home after a day at work. This she knew because she had been watching the drone for the past week. She knew he was seriously overpaid in his frustratingly easy job. One of the lights in the dim hallway flickered and the drone she was watching cast an unconcerned, almost annoyed look at it. She looked up and down the hall one more time before jumping down, landing silently behind the drone on the cold metal floor, one of her hands a machine gun.
"T-time to die." She hissed as he turned around slowly.Uzi Doorman lost her father a long time ago in an incident with the doors. Uzi terrorized the colony for a while before stumbling across the Disassembly Drones.
