Summary
(Ouroboros AU, where Zelda survived the Great Calamity)
The last Zelda saw of Rook was him falling into darkness, vanishing within the golden light of the strange stone he picked up. Next thing, Zelda was waking up on an island above the Cloud Barrier with a decayed Master Sword, an unknown voice guiding her and separated from Rook, she learns, by fifty thousand years.
Zelda has to navigate the challenges that come with being the Hero as she embarks on a journey across Hyrule, trying to figure out Rook’s contingencies as she seeks out the new Sages to confront the malevolent forces of a resurrected Demise.
Meanwhile, stuck in the distant past, Rook finds himself eventually embroiled in the very war the murals beneath the castle had depicted.

Summary
It has been a year since Calamity Ganon was defeated. The champions are at peace and watching over their races proudly. Unfortunately, Sidon is appointed to make lead decisions after a horrible injury ailed King Dorephan. The Yiga Clan, who had prevailed even after the defeat of Calamity Ganon, waited for their time to strike the Queen Zelda's most valuable friends and destroy their Domain. In their heist, they managed to ruin not only the statue of Mipha, but even broke the bridge and attacked the King in his slumber, which left him quite injured. Prince Sidon was distraught over his father's health and the monument of his dear sister in shambles, leaving him rather vulnerable and disheartened.
At the onset of the story, Zelda is on a mission to appoint new champions in case of emergency, but they quickly discover that the Yiga Clan aren't going to give up.

It greeted him in the chirping languages of birds and insects. It was all so overwhelming to his newly awakened senses. But it was beautiful. He breathed it all in--the sights, the sounds, the crisp morning air. He was part of this world, part of the wilderness, whether he remembered it or not.
After waking from a deep sleep with plenty of scars but no memories to accompany them, Link sets out to uncover his broken past and save the fallen kingdom of Hyrule, making friends along the way.

It began with the forging of the Triforce. Its intent was to unite all races of Hyrule, with the coalition of courage, power, and wisdom. But flimsy allyships cracked and war broke out. After years of fighting, the great leaders of the world agreed to split the triforce into pieces, molding them into rings. Three were given to the Zora, blessed with long life, the wise beings of the water. Two to the Rito, the winged relatives to the Zora, the stalwart guardians of the sky. Three to the Gorons, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. Three were given to the Gerudo, the mighty warriors of the desert. And two to the Sheikah, the gifted shadow folk. For within these rings was bound the strength and the will to govern each race. But they were all of them deceived, for another piece was made to complete the Triforce. Deep in the land of Eldin, in the fires of Death Mountain, the Dark Lord Ganondorf forged his own ring of the Triforce, and into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life.
