It all starts because of what Minho thinks is a misplaced hoodie stuffed into a book rack at the back of the archives. And the thing is, he recognizes the hoodie- it belonged to one of his classmates from his free elective course. He remembers it because his classmate, Bang Chan, wore the hoodie even when they were in the middle of a heat wave.
So Minho, being the decent person that he was, decides he might as well return it to the man.
But apparently decency was a one-step method to getting married because-
'Oh no,' one of his friends whispers.
'What?!' Minho demands, staring at both Bang Chan and then at his dramatic friend.
'This is- oh man, oh no!' the man wails, more distressed than Bang Chan.
'Tell me what's wrong!'
'Dude, Chan is a Selkie!'

Everyone in the world has words upon their skin that will be the first words their soulmate will ever say to them.
Everyone except Derek Hale.
It's okay, he has grown used to the pitying looks when he tells people, so he stopped telling them. He went on with his life, but then somebody does something mean to his sister and goes after the guy responsible for it. Said guy had a white board on hand that he started trying to write on as Derek went on his rant, the frustrations of the day flooding out of him- he did feel a bit bad about cussing out the guy because his hands were shaking, but what he wrote on his sister's cup was not to be forgiven.
Once he curses out the guy, he leaves.
Hours later, in the shower after the long day he had, is when he notices the words that had appeared on his skin. Drawn in squilly, nervous lines, like those of somebody who was writing with shaky hands.

Leo nodded his head without taking his eyes off the tempting jug of cold salvation in Kaiman's hand.
"And yet you still choose to refrain from taking a life?" he next asked.
*Beep*
Leo nodded his head again.
After that, Kaiman gave him a devious grin and had the nerve to tip the jug up to his own mouth to take a big swig right in front of him, before setting it down on the floor directly outside the glass wall between them.
“You would have earned your water today if you had obeyed my command. Let this be a lesson for you.”
