In his own desire to chase after the scrolls, Tintin becomes doomed to be on the receiving end of Sakharine and his cronies' vengeance at the edge of the harbour, which is used to make a point to them to leave him and his business affairs well alone. But, of course with the aristocrat, there is always ulterior motives, especially with the way he looks at the reporter, and once the captain manages to drag him and his dog Snowy out of the water, he demonstrates to our protagonists just how little they know about his very real intentions for the young man himself, and how he is far from done with them in the long run.
This idea came to me very recently, and I realised it was the 5 year anniversary of one of the fics I am most fond of writing with a very similar premise, 'silly boys, no one needs to hear your words'! Considering the growth in my work over the years and the themes I tackle that come up in my life and politics and media throughout the years, and how much my work can change based on the period of my life I am in, this is a similar premise and themes, but it tackles them in a much different and darker way.
