But while their detective work might get them closer to the truth, the villains have been one step ahead and already infiltrated the little detectives. So when the girls finally think they're getting close to the truth, instead they're just getting trapped. And as you might assume, just like for their friends in the many stories before, this doesn't have a happy ending for the little detectives either!
