fWhip had gotten a stack of letters for each of the other emperors plus Owen and Eloise and minus False and Gem. The letters had contained invites to the Antarctic Empire’s yearly gala.
He'd made his decision, going home after ten years would bring up lots of questions but he could deal with it.
The Hermits also getting invites ends up bringing more secrets to light than he was originally planning for.
Not that he had any qualms about any of them coming out.
Seeing Scott's reaction however sends him spiraling.

Tomas Watson was born on the ninth of April, on a warm sunny afternoon in some hospital in some city his parents couldn’t be bothered to memorize.
When he was born, he cried. Not like any other baby, though, he cried for hours upon hours after his birth, his mother was surprised his face hadn’t turned blue.
The nurse had tried everything she knew. Rocking him, humming softly, pacing the length of the room with him bundled awkwardly against her shoulder. Nothing worked. Tomas cried until his tiny fists curled tight and his voice went hoarse, as if he had already decided the world had wronged him.
His father, Phil, had been the one to take him eventually.
He held the boy like he wasn’t quite sure what to do with him, one large hand supporting the back of the baby’s head while the other steadied the blanket wrapped around him. For a moment Tomas kept crying, face scrunched and red and furious.
Or, a historical fiction SBI au where Wilbur goes to war and Tommy is left at home.

Apparently the universe hates him so it isn’t making things easy when he finds two big shots Ravager and Croupier bleeding out in an alleyway.
He doesn’t know what to do. But healing them and locking them in his temporary home wasn’t exactly what he was thinking.
Doesn’t help that Enderwalk allies with the Syndicate who took everything away from him while Red is actively avoiding the Hunters at all costs.

“Wilbur,” Techno says quietly. He squeezes Wilbur’s hand. “D… don’ cry.”
“Oh,” he gasps, doubling over to press his face against the mattress. “Oh, Tech-”
“M’here.” It’s soft, quiet, and so Techno that Wilbur collapses into fresh sobs. “M’here… Wil.”
And he knows Techno isn’t like this with anyone else. Techno has been weak, he has been vulnerable, but soft- he’s only ever soft for Wilbur. So gentle for him.
“Don’… cry,” Techno repeats, slurred and slow. “I… I’m here. Wil.”
“I know,” Wilbur chokes out, lifting his head and hugging his twin. Techno makes a slightly startled sound, but quickly melts into Wilbur’s arms. “I’m just so happy, Techno. That’s why I’m crying, I’m happy.”Series

That's it, Techno gives up. His alternate's house is unlivable and he's replacing everything in it, starting with the bedding so he can actually get some sleep around here. Unfortunately, that means braving the more populated parts of Sanctuary, meeting plenty of faces both familiar and not.
It's an awful experience, mostly because people seem so surprised when he acts like a reasonable person, politely ignoring Wilbur's pre-heat and trying not to stain anything that doesn't belong to him with his scent. Seriously, it's the bare minimum! He hates it here.

Phil gripped the letter harder and wished the ever lasting migraine to finally go away. They were going by bus to a middle of nowhere and yet even here they couldn’t escape crying children and Karen’s yammering through the phone.
His boys weren’t making the trip any easier.
He knew they weren’t the happiest with moving to Stardew but Phil was desperate at this point. They all needed a change.
His work at JoJa absolutely destroyed him mentally (maybe a little physically too but he was not going to admit to that, ever). Each day was sucking his soul more and more and when his supervisors decided to dock his pay for someone else's mistake, he nearly entered a meltdown. He didn’t at the time.

Techno hates being like this. Having panic attacks over something as simple as non-sexual physical contact. And Dr. Charles keeps saying that’s not Techno’s fault, but it still makes him feel like there’s something fundamentally broken inside him when he sees other people holding hands and hugging and touching each other without fear. When he watches his siblings tumble around without a care as to if they’re touching each other or slamming into each other.
And he feels bad too that he can’t let anyone touch him except Phil. That Phil is the only one who doesn’t have to ask first. Except that Phil proved from the beginning, from Techno’s first day here, that he wouldn’t touch him unless Techno said it was okay.
Dory’s been kind of normal with him. She’s cautious, but she doesn’t walk on eggshells around him. She pays attention and notices when he’s uncomfortable and does what she can to fix it.Read the tags and content warnings.
