Felix stops, reaches for his wine glass with an unsteady hand, gulps down the remainder. It’s evidently not enough to soothe his emotions, because he feels blindly for the bottle of wine next, takes a swig from that as well.
The moon shines through the glass veranda doors, bathing the kitchen in a cold light. Jisung can see Felix’s eyes glittering.
“I guess,” Felix says, his words slow, measured. His voice is gravelly. He’s not putting on a show, the act of being the perfect, spoilt, pampered hybrid pet, the performance he always puts on in front of Chan. He’s the most serious Jisung has ever seen him. “I guess I thought I was different. I thought he loved me. My mistake.”

Hybrids: A species who looks nearly identical to a human save for a few animalistic features. Highly intelligent for an animal and are known to inherit behavior traits from the animal their distinct features originate from. Best used as therapy or service pets, but often also used as a way to signify wealth.
Suguru had never been comfortable with the idea of hybrids. They looked far too human in his eyes. Despite his reservations, he finds himself adopting one, if only to appease his therapist who'd suggested it. He'd planned to "try it out" for two weeks or so and then immediately return the hybrid, claiming it wasn't for him. But when he lays eyes on a stunning snow leopard hybrid, maybe there's a chance he'll give it a real chance.
Satoru's life has been hell since the second he was born. Hybrids like him were deemed as animals and "trained" until they didn't dare let their intelligence be known even after being bought by an owner and taken away. He'd fought against it for years, but he was tired now. At least they'd let him keep his voice. Others weren't as lucky. Yet when a strange, gentle human bought him, a spark of life finally reignited within Satoru.

Wemmbu pushed past him, demon claws instinctively sliding out an inch before he retracted them. He saw a slumped over Flamefrags on the top step of the staircase leading down to the rooms below.
The blaze hybrid looked absolutely miserable. His usual fiery aura was dim, barely flickering like a candle about to go out. His skin had a grayish pallor that didn't belong on someone born from the Nether, all ashy and wrong. He was wrapped in what looked like Minute's spare cloak—a black one he kept for colder days—and he was shivering despite the fabric.
"You've gotta be kidding me." Wemmbu spun around to face Minute, his own demonic energy crackling slightly at his fingertips from sheer irritation. "Why is he here?"

Upon hearing voices, he discovers a duo—one winged, one shapeshifting—and finally feels a spark of interest in his otherwise monotonous existence.
The parrot/wifies tag is heavily one-sided with Wifies only being the one in love, yearning as the other won't reciprocate his feelings. How sad. This is why we're doing it from Wifies' perspective.

The dog carries on panting even when Lewis stops stroking him, so he can assume he’s probably been forgiven for trying to shut him out of the bathroom. Lewis had already experienced this trial with Roscoe and Coco before, and had thankfully gotten them to not trail him in here.
“Don’t look,” Lewis tells him as he undresses, pointing a warning finger at the dog. The dog just stares back at him, and the Brit is almost certain that he can see a smirk on that face.
“You little creep,” Lewis sighs, turning to face away from the dog before he takes his boxers off. He might just be a dog, but it’s just weird to be watched in his own bathroom.
