Summary
This is a canon-rewrite of the RWBY story co-written by myself and @botanicalbard on Tumblr, featuring as supporting cast our lovely OCs: Team BLSM (Blossom).
The story will generally follow the plot of the original canon, though the presence of Team BLSM will have profound impacts on the other characters as time goes on.
Without further ado, the members of Team BLSM are:
Blue Bonnet "BB" Dawn — a jellyfish Faunus and the boisterous leader of Team BLSM who's been training their whole life for this.
Lily Corvus — a magpie Faunus who, quite literally, can't help but tell the truth.
Sakura Kuchinashi — the serious, highly competent granddaughter of an illustrious General and BLSM's "token human."
Magnolia "Maggie" Moon — a gentle giant of a squirrel Faunus whose blindness doesn't get in the way of her ambition. -

Unfortunately, nobody else wants what Sandy has to offer. Sandy Crane, you see, is a riverblood, born with webbed fingers, a greenish tinge to their skin, and the ability to wield other people’s magic. The proper place for a riverblood is in the Rezynite Temple, serving the All-Seeing One and repenting for the sins of their previous lives—or so say the priests. It has come to the point that Sandy is ready to give up their dreams and settle for any work at all. Then, unexpectedly, they come across a job posting that seems suspiciously tailored for them. Almost as if it were placed to lure in Sandy specifically. Sandy, of course, takes the bait.
Even in a rapidly changing world, where trains trace the veins of the crowndom and airships take to the skies, the dead gods abide—gods which have never hesitated to use mortals as pawns in their games. And they are especially drawn to riverbloods.
