Rin Itoshi expected to breeze through his new high school, but instead, he was saddled with tutoring the school’s loudest, most incompetent student: Yoichi Isagi. Isagi doesn't care about math, science, or staying awake in class; he only cares about soccer, which is frankly annoying how his eyes sparkle only for the field. Rin plans to be cold and indifferent, just another "annoying duty" to get over with, but Isagi is surprisingly relentless.
It’s absolutely frustrating how charming it is to see someone care so much about something that isn't their brother, seriously. Rin hates that he's the one falling first for this absolute chaotic idiot, trying to hide his flustered annoyance behind a cold mask. But as time passes, so does Rin's desire and attempts to not fall madly in love for this one dense moron.
Rin decides to destroy Isagi... on the soccer field, of course, just to show him up, but deep down, he’s already lost this game.
Basically a chaotic Rinsagi highschool au.

“Hooope! Hope, angel, that’s just not what gym battles are about.”“Isn’t it?” Hope fired back, one part snarky as she lay the verbal trap to catch Jules in their own empty words. The other part, a quieter admittance that hid out of view as it waited, was genuinely confused.
“If the point in us was to beat trainers, we’d just full-send our team every battle. We’re examiners, testing how well they know their pokemon.” Jules leant their back against the wooden railing, giving them a better view of Hope’s contemplative expression. The mirth colouring their tone contrasted something more genuine. “We’re not bouncers gatekeeping some exclusive club. You did good, Hope.”
Resting her chin on arms folded over the porch railing, Hope had nothing to say in the face of that and settled for turning her head away from her friend.
