In this au they still make the EverymanHybrid channel but HABIT and Slenderman doesnt exist, it also takes place in 2012 (which i believe is when HABIT started to make his appearance in Evan's body), also I think its a good idea to go by the 2012 idea that the world was gonna end + the zombie craze that happened in 2012
Also this is based off of the short movie Jeff, Evan, and Alex made when they were in college called "a lizard named Waffle"
