When everything for the ritual was ready, Sam and the astronomers realized that the world had suddenly returned to normal. The presence of the Visitor had faded away in this new world… a new world where mutants exist without the need for a cosmic being to transform them simply by looking at them.
Now Sam and his companions, along with all the inhabitants of that apartment building, will have to adapt to a new reality—one that treats mutants with hostility, where the divide between human and mutant grows wider and wider.

A young, excited voice, tinged with mechanical undertones: subtle clicks and low shutter-whirrs riding beneath every syllable. The view swings wildly before settling on a dim interior—homey, metal-paneled walls, a low-hanging vine of bioluminescent Protector Root glowing faintly in the corner.
“Keph? Is everything alright?” his mother called from somewhere off-screen, her tone edged with worry—a sharp contrast to the sheer delight blooming in Keph’s chest.

When a strange delivery guy shows up at their door, Sam becomes hopeful about some sort of society resuming outside his apartment. So, he sets up a group consisting of a strong woman who’s reasonably rational, an over the top insane shortie who can shapeshift in an instant and probably would do so to rip someone to shreds, a behemoth of a twenty-legged anxious and obsessive shutterbug, and a literal baby to scavenge for supplies outside.
He doesn’t know what in the world they’ll get up to, but he at the very least wants most of them to return in one piece. They’ll probably come back alive, but he knows it won’t be pretty.

After the Visitor left behind that angelic abomination who wipe out 90% of humanity, Sam know's that they can't stay in the city. Searching in the former room of Sybil he found the former research of the astronomers and discover a place that was not affected by the visitor, Mt Ebott. He doesn't know why but it seems there is some kind of barrier that keep the place safe during the end of the world.
With only that as his last hope to survive, Sam and his friends go to Mt Ebott but the exalted four find them, taking them one by one until it was only Sam and the childrens.

After the ritual pretty much failed, only Beryl being given the correct item, Aster had been turned into what looks like some kind of crude mixture of Bing Bong from Inside Out and a gummy worm. Somehow keeping his sanity, Sam (now also some freakish creature) still allows him to stay inside of his apartment.
Usually, witnesses have some kind of interesting ability.. Aster hasn’t explored his new form yet. Can he do anything special? Turns out, he can. -

Dan didn’t know why he thought going back to his apartment was a good idea. Upon returning to apartment 33, he rots on the couch, unwilling to join Sam on his next excursion. So, the man leaves Lyle with him just in case something was to break into the apartment. At least they’d have each other in a fight.
Something does break in, but it doesn’t come from the door. Unfortunately, the same old Dan may not be the same old Dan anymore and Lyle has to deal with the consequences… that involve fighting for his life.
