She was very lonely, and being taken in by Tony Stark of all people for being an apparently missing half-sister was not her ideal image of what her family might look like. She'd dreamed of this moment, of someone related to her finding her, wanting her and taking her out of the system, but she couldn't help but feel incredibly nervous about all of this. growing up around them was a bit intimidating, including all the money that Tony seemed to like showering her with gifts with. but she liked her new family, and they grew close over the years.
Going to the Academy was hard, not living with Tony anymore and not seeing Rhodey, Happy, or Pepper frequently made it even harder to leave, but she wanted to be an agent. She wanted to put her brains and her skills for fighting to good use in any way she could. Finding love was just an odd side effect of that.

The timing is terrible. Bucky has a marathon in ten weeks. He has been training for two years. He is not skipping it.
TLDR: inspired by harry styles quietly training for and running for marathons while being one of the most famous people on earth. The idea of that — the privacy of it, the discipline of it — wouldn't let me go. Also, I loved that article of him for runner's world when he was interviewed by Murakami.
