Wow this took a long time for me to get out!

I fell out of this fandom for a hot tick but I’m back enough to at least finish up this fic. Some of the others will probably also be getting new chapters soon.

Enjoys!

Chapter Text

Christie is so excited when her mommy hands her the ice cream. She says it’s to celebrate daddy being gone forever. She isn’t sure why they would celebrate daddy being gone, but she does like ice cream, so she doesn’t complain. Licking up the sweet chocolate she doesn’t notice the car headed for the shop window that they are sitting in. What she does notice is her mommy grabbing her and pulling her close as she screams.

Her ice cream slips from her hand and she starts to cry. It was so yummy. There is no way that mommy is going to buy her a new one. She looks up to her mommy only to notice for the first time that mommy is looking out the window behind them with wide eyes. She peaks over her mommy’s now slack arms and wipes her tears away.

There are lots of pretty flowers and vines holding up a car. She wants to go see the pretty flowers but as she tries to get up, her mommy’s hold tightens and she’s picked up and moved away from their table. She watches over her mommy’s shoulder as the car is lifted further off the ground and a man that looks like daddy is pulled from the driver seat by a vine.

Yoichi has been a photographer for heroes daily for a few years now, so obviously he spends a lot of his time at the side of hero fights. He sighs and pulls his camera back up to his eye, careful not to hit the spikes that grow out of the top of his head.

Looking through the sight, he snaps a few pics of the kid with their brand new provisional license punch the villain in the face. #185 hero, Thunderbolt watches from the side to make sure the kid is okay, but other wise let’s the kid take on the villain. It must not be the kids first supervised solo fight for thunderbolt to look so at ease.

He snaps a shot of the kid getting smacked right in the face with the villain’s elbow. Out of the corner of his shot he capture thunderbolt making his way in to assist the kid. Before the hero can make it to the villain, they are being wrapped neck to toe in thick vines. They start to scream in rage and a flower pops out of their mouth.

He quickly pulls the camera away from his face. His eyes dart around the roof tops, there are plants everywhere but he can’t spot her. He turns around and barely catches a glance of the he retreating figure. He pulls his camera back up and attempts to catch a shot of her, even just a glance.

Getting a shot of the elusive hero is surprisingly difficult for someone who stops so many crimes. The issue is that she doesn’t need to be near a crime to see it or stop it. He continues to try to get a shot long after she is gone. Eventually he gives up and pulls the camera down, wincing where his head spikes obviously damaged the expensive equipment. He tabs back through the images. He didn’t even get close to a picture of her.

Well, shit.

Sarah knew she shouldn’t have turned down this alley. It had honestly seemed like the best way to escape the man who had been following her. By the time she realized that the alleyway was a dead end, he had already caught up to her. He shoved her in the brick wall and her head spins.

If the bastard dared to touch her skin, he would be out in seconds. But so far only his gloved hands had made contact with her. She needed skin to skin contact for her quirk. It would fill the man with immeasurable pain until he passed out.

He tore at her clothes and held her against the wall by her throat, high enough that her feet could barely touch the ground. When he goes after her pants, she knows he is going to feel pain of her quirk but not likely before she feels the pain of him being so close to her.

She clenches her eyes to block out his roaming hands when suddenly he is gone and she is on the ground. She opens her eyes and sees a large wall of curly green hair. She can’t see beyond the the mane of hair but she can hear the man who had attacked her grunt.

The woman in front of her turns, she looks to be in her early twenties. Now that she can see beyond the woman, she sees the man who attacked her, unconscious and held off the ground by vines wrapped around his limbs.

The woman hood out a hand to help her up. She absently turns off her quirk before taking the woman’s hand. She is pulled to her feet and lead from the alley way.

“Who are you?” Sarah asks, still in shock.

“I’m the pro-hero, Persephone.” The woman, Persephone says as continues to walk. “Why don’t we wait here for the police to come collect this man and they can take your statement.”

Sarah nods, dazed. Persephone creates a place for them to sit out of plants. As she settles in beside the woman, she dozes off some. When she is lightly shaken awake, she sees the police have arrived and are taking that man into custody.

Persephone passes her off to a police officer. The new woman helps her to a police car. She turns to thank Persephone, but finds the woman gone.

Bakugo Yuki sat in the corner of her grandpa’s hospital room. Her mom sat at her grandpa’s side and tried to argue with him. She wanted to hold the old cotters hand, but even on his death bed to man was too stubborn even to allow comfort from his own daughter. His husband, Eijiro, had passed years ago during a villain fight. Her mom’s surrogate mother Ochako Uraraka had died in a massive rescue mission even longer ago.

Of course this stubborn old coot would be the only one still left alive even after having worked as a hero all these years. The fight is starting seems to finally stop when he dad walks back in with a familiar woman at his side. Auntie Izumi stands in all her glory in the entry way.

“How is it possible that you’re the last surviving member of your class? You were the most explosive of them all…literally!” She snarks and makes her way to his side, replacing her mother.

Mom walks to stand next to Yuki, but instead of taking the newly vacated chair, Izumi sits on the side of his bed.

“I think you’ll find you hold that title.” He smirks.

“Ah, but I’m not actually part of your class.” She sasses, taking the hand he had refused to give mom earlier.

“Close enough. God, you look like we did 65 years ago.” His eyes soften in a rare show of emotion.

Yuki feels like she is intruding.

“Well, I am physically only 22.” She smiles down at him.

“I’m the last one, Pers. I can only hang on so long.” He admits.

“What would Shoto say if he heard you giving up like that?” She asks.

“I outlived that Icy Hot Bastard by 10 years, he can suck it.” He boasted.

“Oh, I’m sure he’s rolling in his grave now. The fact that you both made it past 30 let alone 60 is a goddamn miracle in this line of work.” She caresses his face.

Now Yuki really feels like she is intruding. She would leave if it weren’t very possible these were her Grandpa’s last moments.

“Are you going to be okay.” He asks, quietly.

“I’ll be fine, Kacchan.” She assures him. “I’m a strong girl, and I’m not alone. You know that. Even if the class is gone, that doesn’t mean I’m on my own.”

“I’ll never understand why you picked up that nickname.” He brings her hand up to his lips. “You can’t see me can you?”

“No.” She admits. “We never really found a doctor as good as recovery girl to keep the effects gone. The surgery is more trouble than it’s worth, so we gave up a few years ago.”

“The last wish I’ll make is that one day you find someone who can fully reverse the affects of that bastards quirk.” He grumbles.

“Yeah, well at least we don’t have to worry about him anymore.” She shifts beside him.

He closes his eyes.

“How many of their sides were you at when they died?” He asks, eyes still closed.

“Most. Every one that didn’t die on the battle field. If they made it to a hospital, I was there.” She tells him.

“I’m sorry.” His face scrunches.

“Don’t be. I’ve long since accepted that I will outlive almost everyone I ever meet. It doesn’t bother me anymore.” She leans down to his ear and Yuki can’t hear what she says.

Her grandfather sighs and his vital signs go flat. The tears slip from her eyes, against her will. Bakugos don’t cry. They are stronger than that. She tells herself that but can’t stop the tears as she hears her mother wail into her fathers side.

Yuki watches Auntie Izumi kiss Grandpa’s forehead before she stands and walks from the room.

Yuki wants to follow to woman to ask what she had said to him but as her extended family rushes into the room to mourn his passing with them, she decides that it’s none of her business. Their last message to each other is between them.

Izumi finds a a bench a few hallways over to reflect. It’s official the whole class that took in her and Eri is now gone. They had taken care of the two girls and fought by their sides. As they grew older and she stayed the same, they had all included them in their new families. Izumi because an honorary aunt in so many families, she didn’t think a room for 400 would be able to contain all the descendants now.

She takes in a deep breath and feels a familiar presence approaching. When the woman sits down beside her, she leans her head into the other woman’s white hair.

“Katsuki is gone.” She informs her.

“I heard.” Eri responds. “I also heard that you spoke some mysterious last words to him. Care to share.”

“For you, always.” She sits up. “I told him that he’s saved enough people. I told him that he could rest now.”

“Now it’s just you and me.” Eri tells her. “Just like it was in the beginning.”

“No, this is nothing like the beginning.” She muses. “Then we were captives. Our only real goal was to not be there anymore. Not you’re a great healing hero.”

“And you’re practically a cryptid.” Eri bumps her should shoulder. “Although you are blind again.”

“I don’t mind being blind. I always feel like I see more like this than I did with my sight.” She confesses.

“What do we do now?” He younger sister asks.

“I can make us some dinner back at my place.” She suggests.

“You know I’m physically older than you, right?” Eri teases as they both stand.

“That only because you keep resetting your age to 25. I’m still aging it’s just slow as hell.” She grabs her sisters head under her arm. “You known I’m still your big sister!”

“Then why are you so much shorter than me?” Eri questions with pho innocence.

“Oh now you’re really asking for it.” Izumi chases after her sister as they exit the hospital.

She will have vengeance for this slight against her.
