Comment on My Copernican Revolution

  1. Ngl, I really didn’t like how the canon ended with the time skip having a lot left answered and deku kind of being on the sidelines after losing his powers for years and his friends barley contacting him and yet he’s still putting that aside and his self depreciation never got talked about or fixed among a lot of other problems, even when the epilogue came up. Even with that bad time skip, That heart to heart you made at the end was so much better handled than what the canon did, so kudos to you. Good job.

    1. Thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked it! 💚
Yeah, I also felt the 8-year timeskip was a bit abrupt — and Izuku’s trauma never really got addressed narratively. I like to imagine that’s when the real healing happened for them, even if Horikoshi didn’t show exactly how.
He left a lot open, so it’s fun to explore our own versions. And thank you for mentioning the heart-to-heart — that’s where I secretly slipped in my own interpretation of Deku’s character!
Personally, I do believe Horikoshi-sensei supports the two of them too. :)
