    Well that was not what I was thinking about with this idea. It was really, really good and still reptty funny so I see this as an absolute win. About time someone calls out Zuko's nonsense because really, what the fuck Zuko.

    Sokka at the end was incredible. Like, most of the time they keep time travel a secret but you weren't subtle, guys.

    “Oh yeah?” asks Aang. “Agna Qel'a?"
    Aang, you're aware you are at Agna Quel'a right now, right ? And also the others are confused as hell ?

    Are you going to write your original Zuko&Aang time travel idea or did this one remplace it ?

      I knoooow it probably wasn't something you had in your mind when you told me about your idea. In my mind, I had Zuko and Aang chatting happily in the cave/Oasis, and the GAang meeting them with surprised Pikachu faces, but this idea died pretty fast when I realised that one, Zuko and Aang definitely wouldn't stay in the cave for a long time, and two, Aang was still in the Spirit World while Zuko faced Katara in the Oasis. And so this fic happened, but it went into a completely different direction when I started to write it 🙃

      Out of curiosity, what were you thinking about, if I can ask?

      My original Zuko & Aang time travel idea was the time loops in the Crossroads of the Destiny episode, which it's been already published. I had one other idea for a short story where Aang time travels to the future, but I haven't even started to write it, so it's at "just the idea" stage as for now

        Oooh so the original is the time loop. Okay, I hadn't connected the dots since the others were regular time travel. Fun to watch them loose their mind.

        I'll not sure, I kinda expected them to wake up when Aang canonically come back from the spirit world. So by the time they realise they time traveled the Gaang would come back and find them being friends (bonus if they come from shortly after the final and keep their future bodies, so they grow a little taller and everyone wonder how Zuko grew a decent haircut that fast). Then Zuko and Aang lead them to beat the shit out of Zhao while they keep wondering what is going on. They pick up Toph, who immediately decides she loves Zuko and the bond about bad parental figures while Uncle makes tea (he's confused about the fast change but happy). They bullshit a little about Zuko being a fire nation royal to explain they know about the eclipse, don't loose Appa and keep Suki from being captured (I imagine Aang and Zuko making a ton of bad excuses to explain why there stay in the region so much), do the invasion with the earth kingdom army to put Zuko on the throne. And for fun Aang take away Ozai's bending during the eclipse. They take bets on how long it will take him to realise. Azula gets therapy.

        Do you ever stop having ideas ? How do you have so many ideas, seriously ? Also, did you decide what you wanted to do for Suki's time travel ?

          Aaah I see, something like this. It sounds like a big AU, but might be funny! My mind stopped thinking this AU somewhere in the North, and didn't go into further seasons 😂

          I have a lot of ideas, to be honest hahah. Some of them are already written and hidden on my computer, and some of them just spinning in my head.

          Also, ATLA has a lot of potential for writing stories, maybe because we have a character that was redeemed, and actually survived redemption arc (so many characters die as a part of their redemption process).

          I daydream a lot, read a lot, have a lot of free time, and write at least 1,000 words a day, so yeah... It just happens hahah.

          I haven't decided for Suki's story yet, I hope to write it one day, buuuut it's not working as for now.

            Relatable. My life is like : school, writing fics, reading fics, do those two things a lot, and socialize a bare minimum (around two times a week). So ideas have a lot of time to form since I think about AUs all the time.

            I am chronically unable to write short fics or one shots. What ? You said this was four chapters and ten hundred words long ? I couldn't hear you, I was planning this MHA fics that's going to start three years before canon, have like four different villain arcs, and probably be more than three hundred thousands words long if I finish it. Short is not in my vocabulary. Probably because I have too many ideas and shove them all in one story. I think if I ever actually write it (the beginning, not the random scenes scattered along the plot) I'll have trouble with the 75 tags limit.

            Yeah, stop killing character during their redemption arc or as soon at it's over, I'M LOOKING AT YOU LOKI

            You have a lot of stories to write already and I think someone already did this buuuuuut... What about time travel for the whole Gaang, except that they remember only once they join the Gaang ? And once they realise they start trying to get Zuko in to have their Zuko back. Bonus point if it's all from Zuko's pov so we have his confusion all along.

              I like writing longer fic/fiction, but I sometimes you just get so tired of writing it... So it's easier to just write a short story, especially when you know your idea is not enough for a longer story 😅

               

              I think I know which fic are you talking about, the title was "hello, Zuko-", but I don't remember the author's name. But I do remember the title, is was exactly this moment when Zuko stopped in the middle of the sentence, because he remembered the future.Anyway, the plot is exactly as you mentioned, everyone remembers the future but only after joining the GAang, so of course, the most difficult part if getting Zuko. And poor Zuko is just confused why his enemies are trying so hard to get him joining them hahah.

              It could be nice to write something like this, but I think I would rather write something else, as someone already wrote a story like this 😅
