To answer som of your questions, Jason may be close in appearance to some of the modern, more human depictions of harpies you can sometimes see, just with human arms added. In the end, he isnt really human even if his mask and hood hide most of it. And yes, Jason is very protective of kids or chicks as he calls them.
As for Damian, he never met Jason. The mix of Pit madness and Jason new apex predator instincts made it so that the heir was kept away for safety reason. he only heard about "the raptor" or the "beast" from his mother and grandfather who didnt talk nicely about him, hence his attitude toward the Red Hood
And i am sorry if it wasnt clear but Jason do remember. His mind was a mess after the purging but it came back to him. He just has shitty coping mecanisms and bury it all.
I love your ideas and expect to see some of them in here, even as bonus chapter. I am a bit of a sucker for Jason being on good terms with Ivy and Harley. And Papa Hood, but that one is obvious :)
