Comment on That old honey and vinegar

  1. The Thorms are my favourite fantasy family in a WHILE, and the game came out (and still is) in a state where story threads that were dropped or remade are scattered across each act like breadcrumbs. Act 2 is my darling; I wish they'd made a tangible effort in the final game canon to elucidate on the dropped Halsin-accidentally-killed-Isobel plotline. Each of those acts could have been a game in itself, Act 2 especially, and it would have made soooooo much sense to tie them into each other.

Also, I really want to know more about why Ketheric thought it was okay to experiment on his son/nephew/relative of some description, and turn him into a fucking centaur. But alas. Even just a single line from Isobel when you tell her about finding more Thorms in town, and not having your player mention Ketheric's "son" - WHAT A MISSED OPPORTUNITY. LIKE. WHAT??? Isobel not reacting to her having her great-aunt being a monstrous toll collector, and her brother/relative being a cursed, yet living and sane centaur bartender alive at all is just...

Act 2 man. Act 2. I love it.

    1. Oh yeah the dropped Halsin killing Isobel thing! Too bad they didn't elaborate on it, Halsin doesn't really have much to do after you resolve his questline.

There's so much unknown about the Thorms 💀 Like, how did Isobel die? It feels like something that would be more important to the plot, but for all we know she fell down a flight of stairs (Squire also fell down the stairs). We don't know how the Thorms are even related 😂 And the biggest mystery: why does Ketheric have an American accent???
