Smutty smuttiness?! Yay! Looking forward to it!! :D
I really admire - and am awed by - your output! Almost an update every other day and sometimes everyday - what is your secret?! I'm feeling a tiny bit burnt out writing the big wip because it requires me to stay in the same headspace. I'm still enjoying it tremendously but I also look at my prompts list like "I've been neglecting you guys!"
I can totally see Tony falling for Loki but convincing himself he's not falling...he's just, um, flying downward. XD
Hehe. We'll see when I get around to finishing it ;P
Oh, haha. *blushes* Um. I erm, just, love writing? And have a lot of ideas? And a significant amount of free time at the moment? I mean, I always try to write everyday even when I was working full time. I'm also a rather... fast writer? And stubbornly determined? If I get in a good zone and want to finish something, I just don't get swayed from it? So I'm afraid not much a secret to impart ^^;
But I can completely understand you on feeling burnt out. And it can be super difficult if you're only working on one story at a time. I usually have fanfic oneshots, a fanfic chaptered fic and an original work that I'm working on/cycling through at any given moment. So if one isn't working I jump to another unless it's something I need to finish, then I give that my attention to it at the exclusion of all others. But everyone is different on how they divide their writing focus. So I suppose all I can do is wave pom poms and cheer you on! (And you do know you can give yourself a break if you need to, right?? We can survive without updates every week ♥ And ngl, that is why I don't post wip's far more likely to get burnt out on if you have an update schedule you 'must keep')
I can totally see Tony falling for Loki but convincing himself he's not falling...he's just, um, flying downward. XD XDDDDDD A brilliant depiction. Yes, bought, sold and loved XD
I can pop out a one-shot here and there but my free time and focus are significantly limited at the moment with life events/changes. Nothing bad, just new stuff to adjust to. Like trying to change myself into a morning person when I've always been nocturnal because it's a better fit for my family. So there are nights when I'm really on a roll but then have to make myself save the document and get ready for bed...then it's hard to pick it up back the next day.
I also know that my focus isn't what it used to be, back when I was writing anywhere from 1-3k words a day. It's weird that knowing that I have a deadline makes me less inclined to write? Maybe I like living dangerously? :P
That makes sense. It's very hard when there are other things happening in your life to keep you from writing. And ohhhh yes, the "have to stop to get up in the morning" yeah. I used to have to get up at about six am for work. So I know the pain well. Good luck altering your sleeping schedule!
Awh, hopefully your focus will come back though and you'll be able to write as much! And sometimes the closer you are to a deadline can make you more inspired... other times, just more apathetic. I suppose you just have to let the chips fall where they may and force yourself to finish if you want to meet it XD
I think I may just need to make a schedule and designate different parts of my day for writing. I definitely procrastinate when I think I’ll have a free chunk of time later.
There’s a song with a line “I lead the nation in procreation” and that’s so me lol.
