I always thought it was funny how Osvald also shows up in the epilogue with the same old clothes. And I love everything about this, from Osvald's awkwardness about trying to dress himself for his daughter, Alrond's sheer kindness and generosity toward him, the way that even Osvald can tell Misha and Alrond are in love because he's felt it, and how he even forgets to get new gloves—just so many of these little details packed in here and all his thoughts that you nail so perfectly as he travels home that really wind down Osvald's entire journey and development. Thank you so much for writing and sharing this!

I've been wearing roughly the same outfit since the early '90s for... similar sensory/comfort reasons, lol, so seeing that tiny detail in the game hit so hard for me, ha ha! it's hard not to fall for Alrond and Misha's tiny love story, too -- once I had Osvald go over to Wellgrove, Alrond pretty much just invited himself to the middle part of the fic :p glad you enjoyed it! thanks so much for the kind words!
(also, wellgrove's theme song is a total banger! which is a good thing, because I went there like 37 different times to pick up Alrond while grinding for the endgame...)
