    “You sparking psycho!” Eunie yelled, hoping to catch his attention. “Who in their right snuffing mind is okay with killing themselves!?”

    - Ah, well. You see, I'd say he's not in the best headspace right now, or anymore, really.

     

    “When T was quizzing you earlier, what was he trying to get out of you?”

    “My life story, mostly.”

    - Well yeah, they gotta keep their story straight and speed run teaching someone who's been dead inside for a while now how to emote + Taoinisms.

     

    “Weird, I’m surprised he cared about that,” Eunie quickly elaborated so it didn’t come across as an insult. “I mean, he didn’t seem like the type to care about anything.”

    “I don’t know how to describe it, but it came across like he already knew the answers to the questions he was asking.”

    - Dang, T just casually slipping in a self compliment there. You just know the tiniest, most buried part of him is feeling slightly smug.

     

    “A lot of his questions were about you.”

    Eunie didn’t know why that came as a surprise to her. “What did he ask about?”

    “He wanted to know about your fighting style, what I knew about your background, and-” he hesitated. “He wanted to know if you liked me?”

    - Ah, the feels. The what-ifs of it all, wondering if fate was kinder to your other selves, what experiences you went through together, if you were still similar people at heart. ("You'll be the same no matter how many times you're reborn" "Some things are different sometimes... this time round, we're Ouroboros.") That last part though, I get the sense T is asking for the both of them. My heart. And Eunie's confession too. <3 Even if T is kinda serving as a temporary placeholder, I'm sure Taion knows as well. Glad T's getting closure in his own way.

     

    “Why do you need to look at me when you have him?” Mio could hear Taion struggling against E’s grip.

    “I don’t need to explain myself,” E slammed her fist against the wall. “Ooh, you flinched! You really thought I was going to punch you?”

    “I think I know why you’re here,” Mio was surprised Taion wasn’t bluffing. “T did something you didn’t like, so you’re taking it out on me.”

    E punched the wall again. “He’s in his books more than- you know what? Spark this, I’m going to talk to him.”

    - Girlie, you're gonna feel so embarrassed after this...

     

    “Would you have done anything differently, Taion?” Noah asked.

    “Are you thinking about the battle?” he responded. “There’s no way you could have anticipated those two coming up with that.”

    - Again, I can't help but imagine the tiniest smidgen of smugness concealed there.

    My mind just jumps back to Taion's whole speech in "Supervillainpon", where he states the end result of their world is suicide for those who don't want to fight to live. Difference between our Taion and T is that Taion concludes that it's pointless.

      Hi there! Hope you don't mind me responding to both of your comments here.

      I'm glad you're enjoying the fic, I've been reading the lines you picked out thinking "I wrote that? Cool!". Moebius AUs are pretty neat, so I wanted to take a stab at it. Everything from their motives to the powers they'd have has enough potential for several fanfics. E's power is pretty neat, she can swap lives and have a gun.

      The prison bits were fun to write, especially the dialogue. They're at their lowest but there's no excuse not to talk to each other, and potentially open up in ways they normally wouldn't.

      The "Supervillainpon" cutscene is underrated. You get a glimpse into some of the characters' beliefs, and you have Manana sowing the seeds of Aionios's destruction. Girl was cooking more than dinner.
