To be fair re: language, I would assume that many people (myself included) saw the survey was available in their native language and still chose to take it in English anyway. So I wouldn't say those results are only about the English speaking part of fandom. It's just that people prefer to take surveys in English. A translated question often leads to a different answer and eventually a different result, a good example of this is MBTI test.
True. I use ao3 in english as default but i'm not actually a native eniglsh speaker so maybe they could include in their surveys whether someone is actually natlve or not (and if not what their native language is). Especially since I think we are not alone in our usage behaviour haha
Along with your suggestion, I'd also like a multiple-choice question about which languages someone uses for fan activities: hopefully this would help show the most accurate picture a survey like this could of users' language use when interacting with this platform and with other parts of fandom since someone could primarily use a language other than their native one or English, despite taking the survey in English.
