    I genuinely believe this is a thought Barba has had on the actual show. Canon Barba. Especially after that corridor scene ("I admire your..."), I think Barba knows how much Sonny cares about him. I think Barba knows that, if anything were to happen to him, poor Sonny would be devastated. I think that moves Barba :')

    And yep! That's why I wrote Barba as being a liiitle drunk. To get him to be poutier and a little more emotional. To get him to speak what he really feels (i.e. "omg Sonny I miss you, please stay"). And, I gotta say, I notice that a lot of Barisi fans and Barisi writers have the same ideas/headcanons, in a good way. We all watch the same show, the same canon interactions, and we draw the same conclusions. Everything we're writing, it's based on the real characters. It's an extension of them. That's why many of us share the same thoughts on this lovely ship. We're not making this up. It's all right there, on the show :D

    And awww, I love you too, and it feels DAMN GOOD to be back :D
