Oh my goodness, how lovely and sad - and yet also how wonderful that they can support each other. And Charlotte's commentaries make it even more beautiful! She understands – perhaps the first person I have read who truly does. - that line went right to my heart. There really _is_ nobody else in the world who truly knows what it's like to be a queen, except another queen. I love the image that you've created of this little community of women reaching out to each other across the centuries.
Glad you liked it - and yes, just the realization that so very few people would understand that particular circumstance and set of challenges, even if centuries separate them, especially since despite the Enlightenment, nobody had much better of an idea of how to help George than they had Henry.
