    Wow, this story was a great read and there are so many layers! I love how you've incorporated all the prompts into it. A case, the (potential) cure, people from the past, decades old betrayal, AND Janette back to being a vampire. That's amazing.

    I was a bit suspicious when LC arrived at Nick's, but I think I wanted to believe that Nick was finally going to win. But, of course, LC would never let Nick find a cure and let him go.

    From the title I already had a hunch, that Nick would not be cured, but I really didn't expect the "too old and powerful" not be the issue.

      No, Lacroix will never let Nick find a cure. Not in my FK universe. :)
      Nick being too old and powerful for the cure to be successful was actually my initial intention when I started this story. About half way through though, I remembered Janette's stunt with mortality and that the story wouldn't work because of that. Only then the twist came about.
