  1. this is so great!! bruce's pov, and the way it shows how his mental image of his dad is degrading is so so good. i love the repetition of "here's the thing" and how it makes his internal monologue feel like he's categorizing information, which makes so much sense since he's a detective. i also adore how different sally's section fundamentally feels, silly and heartwarming and more in line with the percy jackson book series than dc comics, but both sections are close enough in writing style that it doesn't come off as jarring just different characters with different mentalities. i am so excited to see where this goes!!!!

listen... bruce is going through some unwilling introspection about how he sees his parents (particularly thomas) and he does NOT like it. unlike hid children he is very unused to father disappointment, it's new and Awful. but yeah this is my first time writing his character, I'm so glad people other than me could see his detective brain.

sally is like. the happiest she's ever been, and she has no reason to anticipate anything happening at all. her and bruce are living completely different lives, but due to circumstances (me ;) they're now together. like you said, different mentalities. thank you for reading and commenting!!!! <3
