Since Sunny its the fifth soul does that means that just like in Undertale Yellow, Sunny its damned to lose his life just like Clover? As its the only way for the original story with Frisk to happen. So i guess there will be an inevitable a timeskip of many years until Frisk arrive and break the Barrier?
Because jesus Hero, Kel, Aubrey and Basil are really going to suffer the consequences of their actions, they already start regretting their lash out, face the notion of indirectly ruin Sunny's reputation, while for years they would live not knowing what has happen to their friend, only to eventually meet Asgore or Frisk where they learn that his friend had been killed and its soul used to free the Monsters, losing their last chance to amend, their failure to themselves and Mari fully completed.
At that point their mental status would be so fucked up may collectively off.
