Summary
Grian didn't want to stay in the vault forever. He's tired of tending to the fake gardens, with cheaply painted walls of scenes with green hills and blue sunny skies, cracked and peeling from age. He wanted to see the real thing, albeit less green and more dead and dangerous, according to the stories told from the settlers who deliver things from outside the vault.
