Lee Su-hyeok is beginning to consider the current trajectory of his life. When he stumbles upon the top student of their batch lighting up a cigarette in a hidden corner, he feels like maybe he needs to turn his life around. That he can turn his life around.
He unceremoniously plucks the stick from her dainty fingers and takes a puff himself, despite her glare. “Cigarettes,” he mumbles after he exhales and wiggles the cig he’d finagled from her. “They’re bad for you.”

Summary
Hyosan refugees have been relocated to [redacted], an island with heavy military presence since the far-flung place looms in the shadow of North Korea, being situated by the border.
The Hyosan High survivors begin anew as they try to adjust to life after living through one of the worst calamities recorded in South Korea’s history. Meanwhile, Nam-ra and Su-hyeok prepare for the arrival of their little one and adjust to being a family unit.
Beginning again isn’t as simple when the government and the island’s residents treat the Hyosan refugees with fear and suspicion.
