Summary
"No other name resounds more amongst Dunwall’s legal circles than that of Lord Gregor Rhodesbrook. Having survived the shuffling of the aristocratic families after the slaying of Empress Larisa Olaskir at the hands of seditious Morleyans, the Rhodesbrook family has long been associated with the highest echelons of our judiciary."
[A character study of one of my OCs, Lord Gregor Rhodesbrook, composed in the style of the in-game books and notes]

Summary
"Every fine estate in Dunwall, even those merely pretending to be of high standing, is run the same way, like clockwork. Each little cog and gear performing its task in a dutiful and timely manner, as to allow the next piece of the contraption to fit perfectly in its allotted position. Armies of servants, cooks and stableboys scattered like tiny ants around the narrow alleyways carved into the white stone facades that rise like giants behind the high walls of wealthier districts, always out of sight, never out of reach.
Eloise Oakes knew all that far too well."
[A character study of one of my OCs, Eloise Oakes]

Summary
"These people have hoisted themselves above the rabble, but their supports are rotting from beneath them."
It is said that you can count those noble families whose roots can be traced back to the very origins of Dunwall with the fingers of one hand and the house Inchmouth is most certainly one of them. A clan of valiant military heroes, renowned politicians and generous supporters of the arts and culture, the ripples of their influence can be seen all throughout the pages of history; The recent arrival of the Rat Plague has taken a heavy toll on their finances, providing the upper echelons of society with endless sources of gossip about the unsavory dealings they've resorted to in order to keep themselves afloat and their dark secrets from rising to the surface.
[A character study of one of my OCs, Lady Elizabeth Theodora Inchmouth and her family, composed in the style of the in-game books and notes, with some world-building sprinkled into the mix.]

Summary
She was told not to venture deeper into the forest, past the limits of the estate’s grounds, Ophelia knew that too well. Growing up with tales of strange creatures lurking in the murk, warnings about ancient curses roaming the sea of trees under the cover of night, whispered by fearful housemaids as they tucked her into the safety of her bed, wrapped in Serkonan silk linen and pillows of Pandyssian feathers.
Yet each day, as the sun disappeared beyond the foggy banks of the Wrenhaven, she glimpsed out of the tall windows overlooking the vast expanse of the Mutcherhaven District with a deep longing for peace, lulled by promises of freedom and safety in the howling siren songs of the gales that raced through the treetops.

For years, Valeria Pierce has de facto controlled the family's textile businesses, entrusted with all sorts of financial and administrative decisions that have led their mills to a prosperous new era. When Mother finally relents, allowing her to attend the House of Lords, Valeria stumbles into a fierce battle for power that will test where her loyalties, both old and new, will lie in the years to come.
