Summary
“What do you want to do with your life?”
“I think, ideally, I could be a traveling chef. That way, I could ride a horse, explore, and cook for anyone I meet!” Link smiles softly. “But I suppose I could settle for just one of those things. Horses are wonderful and they have really soft noses, and exploring would be an amazing experience to make new memories with. But eventually, my horses would die from either a monster or old age, and someday I’d see everything there is to see in Hyrule. But cooking? As long as I have people to enjoy it, I think it would be a great way to live my life.”
Alternatively: Link accidentally joins the Yiga Clan almost immediately after leaving the Great Plateau.

Summary
“If you’re having second thoughts,” Adak had whispered, barely heard above the desert wind. “Then go back now. I’ll take the fall for losing you. I’m telling you this now, because once we reach the entrance of Karusa Valley, there’s no going back. The Eye of the Yiga is everywhere, Link. Nowhere is truly safe from us.”
Link meets Master Kohga.

Summary
He sleeps poorly, but he dreams.
He dreams of Hyrule– of places he’d been familiar with a lifetime ago– and it’s all red. There are monsters everywhere, appearing out of thin air with snarling faces and glowing eyes. There’s a voice, Zelda’s, pleading desperately with him to be careful. Link wakes up to red wisps and magenta embers disappearing into the ether.
------
Life for Master Kohga, and the Yiga Clan in general, is good.
It becomes significantly less good when Lord Ganon contacts him during the Blood Moon.
------
Alternatively: How is one supposed to react when a cult leader chooses to suddenly betray their god?

Summary
This has to be a trap.
“Why would I help you?”
The cult is probably going to do something to horrifically embarrass her before either killing her or sending her off with a message. Hell, maybe she’ll be the message, dropped off as a mutilated corpse right outside the city gates. There’s no way she’s getting out of this unscathed.
But maybe if she plays this convincingly enough, she’ll be able to take back the Thunder Helm, right out from under the Yiga Clan’s stupid masks.

“The shrine above the village has activated,” Dorian reluctantly reports. “But the Hero has yet to show himself. It’s been two months.”
“I’m not surprised,” Maton responds, and there’s an undercurrent of vindictive glee in his voice. “We found him first.”

Chapter One: Wish
“What’s the occasion?”“You don’t know?” Nema asks, an embarrassed flush rising to her cheeks when Link simply raises an eyebrow as pointedly as possible. “…Right. Amnesia. My bad.” She clears her throat, recovering quickly as her eyes light up. “Tonight’s a meteor shower!”
