Notes:

June 2023 through August 2023, the wangxianpodfic rec account from twitter hosted a MDZS-themed live fic reading and discussion tour called “Lotus Pier Lakeside Chats”. Episodes aired on Discord, each one approximately 60 minutes in length. Those live episodes are currently in the process of being posted here on ao3. Listeners will have an opportunity to hear MDZS podfic creators: 1) introduce themselves 2) read MDZS fanfiction 3) discuss various topics (real-world and fandom-world alike) and 4) speak to listeners!

As many of you know, I am obsessed with podfic and it has changed my life in so many ways. My dream is that this “Tour” will forge new friendships, prompt stimulating discussion, spark laughter, and ultimately further everybody’s love and appreciation for this form of fan work. While this is a very small scale project, it means a LOT to me that you are interested in listening live, listening to the recordings posted on ao3, or perhaps even participating!
