Summary
Derek had followed Peter to many a business dinner. When Peter was trying to woo a client, he pulled out all of the stops. He would spend however much money was necessary to ensure that the client was impressed and felt like the most important person in the world.
Peter Hale had a gift when it came to client relations. Derek had been to just about every five star restaurant in Manhattan, so much so that the shine of expensive business lunches and dinners at exclusive restaurants had begun to wear off just a bit.
All of the safety precautions were a little strange, and they were definitely atypical from the normal places they had attended. Derek wasn’t exactly sure why, but he didn’t really care. Every place had their niche.
But once they passed through those doors, everything made complete sense.
This wasn’t a restaurant at all. It was a bar.
An omega milk bar.

Lydia turned to Derek, smiling brightly.
“Welcome back, Mr. Hale. I didn’t think we’d see you back so soon. Have you reconsidered a membership?” she asked teasingly, if not a little smugly.
“Still considering,” Derek chuckled softly.
“Mr. Hale here has an invitation,” Malia said, eyes locked on the other patrons in the room.
“How lucky for Mr. Hale,” Lydia responded. “I’ll go ahead and seat you, Mr. Hale.” she said, reaching toward the stack of menus.
“He’s not in the dining room,” Malia called over her shoulder, “He’s in the Velvet Lounge tonight.”
“The Velvet Lounge?” Lydia quirked an eyebrow, her eyes full of mischief. “Lucky, Mr. Hale, indeed,” she grinned lasciviously.

Summary
Derek knew Stiles wanted to talk about the upcoming trip, but with all of the tension that was radiating off of him, Derek wasn’t getting a very good feeling about what it was Stiles would have to say.
“You said you needed to talk to me about San Francisco?” he prompted.
“I did.” Stiles nodded, shifting in his seat and leaning forward closer to Derek.
Derek lifted his eyebrows expectantly, but waited patiently while Stiles seemed to brace himself for this discussion.
“I can’t go.”
