“I didn't make you,” Eddie croaks. If he could summon gorgeous naked men with shimmery golden skin and shiny chestnut hair out of nowhere, he'd be doing little else. “I have no idea what you're even-”
And then it clicks. Because upon closer inspection, the guy isn't entirely naked. He's wearing something on his head. The silly little sailor hat that Eddie found at the flea market and took home because he thought he might use it for a campaign … or put it on the snowman he drunkenly built after a bar visit.

I’m still half convinced this is some particularly whacky, holiday-themed pipe dream and I’m going to wake up at any minute.”
“I could kick you again,” Steve says, popping his head out of his shirt and righting his magical sailor hat. “Maybe that would convince you this is real.”

“Your wish, kiddo.” Santa waves his hand impatiently. “I know how this works, you wouldn't be here if you didn't have one. I have the entire world tour ahead of me, the sleigh hasn’t been packed yet, and the reindeer are getting restless, so let's make it quick. What's the issue?”
Steve gulps. “Well, uh …”
“He's a snowman,” Eddie blurts. “Well, obviously he isn't now, because of the magical sailor hat, but he'll still melt if he goes anywhere that's above freezing point, and-”
“Rudolph's nose,” Santa groans. “Another one? I thought we had all the magical hats rounded up?”
The elf whispers in his ear again and he frowns.
