Summary
AU. Harry Potter didn’t plan on becoming Slytherin’s newest spectacle, because he’s used to being the Slytherin outcast, a student with no friends—nor did he expect Tom Riddle to ever even acknowledge his existence.
It starts as a favor. A harmless arrangement. Something to keep the annoying Slytherin girls away and make life at Hogwarts a little easier for both of them. Pretending is simple enough when Tom is kind, attentive, and entirely too good at playing the part.
The problem is that somewhere between Tom being a perfect gentleman like opening doors, carrying his books to class, etc. Harry forgets where the act ends, and finds himself with real feelings for Tom. This results in complicated feelings in their supposed-to-be pretend relationship.
